테스트는 Part A부터 시작합니다.

85% 이상을 얻으면 더 높은 수준의 섹션(Part B와 C)으로 넘어갑니다.

85% 미만의 점수가 나왔더라도 걱정하지 마세요!

Find Out Where Your Child Stands in Writing—Before You Start Improving It

Improving writing skills starts with knowing where your child is now. This Diagnostic Writing Assessment helps identify your child’s strengths and weaknesses, so you can focus on exactly what they need.

The Diagnostic Writing Assessment is broken down into 3 parts.

Part A: Foundational Skills

capitalization, constructing sentences, nouns, verbs, subjects, and predicates

simple, compound, and complex sentences, conjunctions, fragments, run-ons

apostrophes, appositives, subject-verb agreement, adjectives, and adverbs

Part B: Building Strong Paragraphs
topic sentences, supporting details, combining sentences

kinds of paragraphs, summary sentences

citing evidence, support (elaboration)

Part C: Essay-Level Writing

introduction paragraphs, thesis, body paragraphs, relevant evidence

counterclaim paragraphs, rebuttal, conclusion paragraphs

essay structure (organization), combining paragraphs

Students begin with Part A. If they score 85% or higher, they’ll move on to more advanced sections (Parts B and C). But if they score below 85%, don’t worry—that just means we’ve found the perfect place to focus and grow. Each level builds on the last, so students only move forward when they’re truly ready.

After the full diagnostic, you’ll receive a clear picture of your child’s writing strengths and areas to improve—so we can focus on exactly what they need next.

The length of the class will vary depending on your child's skill level. Higher level students might take longer than 15 minutes as they will need to complete all parts of the assessment.
